Time to Hit the Reset Button
Not a whole lot's changed poker-wise since my last update. I've been playing various SNGs and mostly breaking even, until 2 days ago when I figured out something cool. I can reset the stats on my Sharkscope stats and essentially get a clean slate. So now when you search Fossilkid93 on Stars, you will only find my stats from 2/10/10 onward.
It might sound silly, but it feels pretty refreshing to get what feels like a new start. I've purged the first 5 weeks of 2010 from my mind and I'm attacking the games with renewed vigor. For the next couple weeks, I'm gonna be focusing only on $20.80-$54 Double or Nothings. I know I make these half-assed statements that I usually go back on a couple days later, but so far I've only played those games the last couple days, with solid results and I hope it remains that way for a little while.
I'm not getting quite the VPPs I would like in these games, and I think I will be a little too busy with some live poker vacations I have planned this year to make SNE playing only these games, but for the times being I'm willing to sacrifice falling behind in the chase for SNE in order to get some positive momentum and get back to winning at the tables. Once I feel more confident in my game, I will slowly work my back into the $104s and focus a bit more on VPPs. I doubt I will ever go back to 35 tabling primarily the $104s, instead I will game select a bit more and maybe add 10-15 of them into my sets. This way, I feel like I can still make decent money at the tables, but also get the points necessary to hit SNE.
I'm currently sitting at 115,110 VPPs and SNE pace thru 2/11 is 115,080, so I'm still about where I need to be, but I'll probably fall behind in the coming weeks. I've already booked a flight for the LAPT Uruguay from 2/23 to 2/28, and I'm really excited about that. It will be my first time leaving the country and also my first tournament with a buyin over $1000. I'm also gonna stop by my old hometown Omaha for a couple WSOP Circuit events (in neighboring Council Bluffs) before I head to Uruguay. I think these live tournaments will be a nice diversion from the online grind and will give me a chance to have some fun before getting back to work online for SNE.

I'm sure that traveling and going into live games is going to be a blast for you nothing like getting out of the house and smelling the fresh air or smelling someone else dirty socks for once. If you play as much as I do making sure taking breaks when you know your play is lacking alway's has helped me out. I wish you the best of luck in your future games gl gl gl
