Getting into the full table SnG's

I haven't been playing very smart lately. I've been trying trying to win at $100+ sng's after barely playing or studying poker in years. After having lost a few thousand dollars over the past few weeks (although not that significant considering the small sample size), I'm realizing that this isn't a good plan.

Players like PimpinDonks and Tatta prove that you don't need to play high stakes to make a lot of money. Both have six figure earnings with an average stake of around $50. I'm especially impressed with their high ROI and consistent results, while many high stakes players who have similar earnings have a much lower roi and more erratic results.

So all of the new pimpindonks videos have inspired me to give lower stakes full table SnG's a try. My goal will be to first maintain a positive ROI and then work towards 8 tabling while still keeping the ROI up. I'm going to stick with the $20 and $30 buy-ins and I haven't decided between normal or turbo yet.

I started playing a little bit the other day and right away I see a huge difference in the level of play compared to the higher stakes SnG's. It's much easier to spot the donks in the lower stakes games and you see a lot of players making beginner mistakes.

Also, I've finally got my first HUD that overlays player stats on the tables, which I'm sure will be a huge help, once I get used to it. I've always used a mac when playing poker, so I haven't been able to use Poker Tracker. The program I'm using is called 'poker copilot'. It's nowhere near as good as PokerTracker, but it does an ok job of breaking down the important statistics.

Here's my stats for the past few days, since I started playing full table SnG's. I'll work towards getting to a sample size of 500 games before I make any real conclusions

Sounds like a solid plan dude, hope all goes well for you. Ive been trying to grind low stakes 6-man turbos and they seem profitable, albeit sometimes uneconomical to me coming out of 9 of them +$2 or something.

Hey Mike, I'd like to ask you one question. Why don't you activate the personal contact form? Smile
