Something about making the right play

When I train ICM it teaches you where to put your chips in the pot. Of course we need to adapt the ranges. Nothing new. Why should we wait shoving from the SB by example if there is future positive Ev to get. What does it matter we have 12 10 or 14. Positive shove is a positive shove. I am not in for the short run. I guess you will have a wider variance up and down, but who cares if the results are good in the long run. I not sure about my statement, but following the math would be a good thing. There is always another SNG! Wink Comments and arguments would be appreciated though. I am in to learn not to let my ego in the way hindering any progress.

any play other than folding

any play other than folding by the SB in that spot is definitely negative EV. The only time that is arguable is if the BB is an uber nit (like how your call range is set at 99+). if he is a good player it is usually much wider than that (~ 44+,A7s+,A9o+,KJs+), but most likely independent of what range he puts u on. the min raise there is actually pretty gross, should be an instashove by BB if he is any good.

there is a good a read about taking negative EV shoves in order to get the big stack, because of all the pushing around you can do and the huge value in it. i don't think that applies to this scenario since your already on the bubble, but I think its along the lines of how your thinking maybe?

icm is fun. peace.

Yes i agree what you say

Yes i agree what you say about that min raise being gross. You should only make that play if you know someone is lose and you are sitting at AA's or KK's.

You said..."there is a good a read about taking negative EV shoves in order to get the big stack, because of all the pushing around you can do and the huge value in it" Could you explain this a bit more?

Thanks a lot

Stu

What he means is that in

What he means is that in order to take a negative EV shove you need the outcome to be a dream situation.

That exemple is not that kind of situation, now imagin that blinds are 150/300 you and rvvvvr have exactly the same stacks and alexander402 is sitout. The outcome of confrontation between you and rvvvvr in case of vicotry will be a dream situation because you can now push virtualy any2 until sitout gets elimitated or if you eliminate Freezen1a you can HU vs sitout(realy hard xD).

hope it mades sense.

I also in some situations ignore ICM due to table dinamics .

Hi I agree completely. You

Hi I agree completely. You can not rely 100 percent on icm, doing that makes you actually a loser. Everything depends indeed on table dynamics. And yes shove any 2 when alexander sits out.

Will add your name to my skype! See you at the tables, but not sit at my table cause it cost us both equity...... Wink
