lol swong.
Swinging around $800-$850 for a couple of days, and then in one day i had two hot sessions and came out +$85 to break $900. I had nice spots over and over, like 99 and KK flopping undercards and people hero'ing three streets with AQ high (in both cases, ending up all in). It was a good day, and poker was an awesome game.
But i'd dodged variance long enough apparently, and after firing up another session today im back to square one lol. I just want to vent a bit on here and share some stats from the session because they're actually pretty funny:
My session ran out with several dropped buy-ins. I got it in with QQ and ran into KK, and the flop came QxK to rub salt into the wound. No matter, 1 BI dropped, it happens right?
Next thing i know im looking at QQ again. UTG opens to $1, a shortstack in the next position shoves for $4 total. Im on one of the blinds with QQ, and i consider my options before raising to $12. Im not expecting action from the OR particularly, but after a long tank he shoves and i snap. The shortstack has 77, but of course the shover cant have tanked with jacks; its the other one - ace king. Flop comes king high and i lose another large pot with a big hand.
I get AJo vs a fish, and after opening he calls in position. Flop comes jack high with two spades, i lead the flop and the blank turn. Both times he flats without odds, and i grudgingly check/call the river to see him flip his idiot flush. Excellent. Another AJo hand, i open and get two callers, one is OOP with 77. Flop comes king high, perfect for following through. One guy gets out of the way, but 77 manages to flat call. Turn is a third heart, setting up a draw and we both check. River is a fourth heart, he checks to me again. So now i put him on some kind of Kx hand that's scared of a flush so i lead for $5, a +EV bluff considering the pot size. But he has the 7 of hearts and hero's to take another pot from me.
At my fourth table which i booted up mid-session, a guy joins and starts open shoving ATC from any position. He states in the chat that he's gonna keep doing it til he's called. Obviously by the third shove ive picked up JJ, and snap off vs his K2o and suck out for yet another buy in. Pretty sure i went ape in the chat and all the guy could do was laugh and claim this was funny. I started closing down tables but stayed at this one as, seemingly not content with a double up, the guy was still shoving ATC. I made a tilt-call with KJo, bad considering its for a whole buy-in, but he flips 76o and for once i hold to make back most of what happened to JJ.
These main events were the bulk of the runbad, however added to this is the fact that in between hands were going wrong, i was missing flops and getting my raises 3-bet etc. Over the entire 650 hand session here are some interesting stats:
I made 0 full houses, 0 flushes and 0 straights. I did not hit a single set, except for when i got it in with QQ vs KK and flopped QxK lol.
In the session i was dealt:
5x QQ ---> -$46
4x JJ ---> -$21
5x AKo ---> -$5 (missing flops, losing c-bets etc)
2x KK ---> +$1.60 (1 blind sweep, and took down the flop with the other)
4x AA ---> +$8 (3 blind sweeps, and taking down the rest on a river)
My most profitable hand for the session was KJo, simply because i tiltcalled a shove and held. EV for my all-ins for the session came out at around -$40, so i managed to run twice as badly as expected in these instances.

Thats my graph for the session, not a single upswing until KJo on the end which is barely visible. My roll is now at $817, but on the plus side im about 5 days ahead of schedule for receiving my silverstar status (lol). About time variance bit me i guess, fair play. But if it continues tomorrow then some of the furniture in my room could well be at risk!
**UPDATE**
So i had another 600 hand session today, was running pretty well and was up about a buy-in cumulatively over three tables, flop a few flopped sets and nice hands. But then i get it in pre with KK and suck out to AQs, my T9s flops JQK and runs into ATo (UGH). Then i open AKo, get one flat and a 3bet. OOP vs a short 3better i reraise to something like $12, and the caller just flats again o_o. The 3better calls all in, flop comes Q high and i shove the last $4 in. Other guy calls and flips JJ, 3better has TT and i can't hit. Just getting sick of these big hands that relentlessly end in filth when i lose flips or run into aces. Seriously fuck poker. I ended the session stuck around $9, which isnt much, but it sucks to be up for like two hours then in the last 20 minutes of the session get big hands and end up in loss because of them >_>

Sounds like a pretty good run of bad lusk, but as long as u stay aggressive ull continue to become a better player, wether or not u think ur capable of it
