Getting serious

Tagged:

Hey all, I'm gonna try and keep this brief (unlike normal, lol)

So exams are finally over for me and I'm completely free for 2-3 months before I'm off to university. To this end ive decided to have a really serious go at cash games, starting at $25NL and working my way up. Ive already logged 25,000 hands at this stake level on ultimate bet and am up 10BIs, which when added to rakeback and bonuses leads to a pretty nice bottom line overall.

I signed up to deuces cracked and have been downloading videos by the dozen. I plan to watch at least one video per day, as well as analysing some of my sessions via pokertracker and making notes on hands that I may not have noticed in real time. UB's software makes it hard to make notes if youre not paying full attention as they don't have a hand replayer, so if you catch the end of a big pot you can't see how the action went before until you check PT later. I'm hoping to get in 15,000+ hands this month which is quite a lot for me especially considering i'm only 2 tabling.

You can keep track of my progress here where I'll be posting daily updates with hand histories and graphs of how the grind is going. I'll probably not update this blog so much now that I'm updating my progress on cardplayer.

Good luck to you all with your SNGs, MTTs or whatever it may be that you're playing. I'll check back with the forums here from time to time but I doubt there'll be many more blog posts from me except perhaps monthly updates at the end of each month.

Love your setup! So inspirational... next thing u know and u'll be a baller with 2 30 inch flatscreens and fanboys next to you instead of a fan lol.

I'd suggest getting some coaching sessions every now and then if you can afford it. Having some kinda mentor to help you out is one of the most +EV decision you'll make, and it'll up your winrate faster then ever (assuming you listen and apply everything you learn).

Anyways, GL with it, hope you run good and win loads!
