...erf. Need to run better on final tables basically. Still got a long way to go before I get a meaningful sample size so I'm still upbeat and happy with my volume so far.

Still, in the past 100 games to only have a 3rd and a 4th is pretty insane, and 200 games without a win too!

100 games down

Going to update every 100 games as a sort of record for myself to look back on. Maybe when I get to 500 i won't update quite so often, idk. But here goes:

Games played: 100
Total profit: $43.79
ROI%: 17.52

E%/EM%/M%/LM%/L%: 3/15/52/16/14.

FT Rate: 7%

Back to the grind, been a while!

Hey all! Some of you may remember my blogs from a long time ago - in fact its been almost a year since my last post, oops!

I have good excuses though. Started a maths degree last year in october and got literally no time to play poker in between having a social life and working the hardest ive ever had to work in my life just to keep up with the course, lol. I really thought i'd be grinding lots during university but i guess until you go you never truly appreciate how little time there is to do, well, anything!

August 2010

Had a pretty crappy month in terms of my focus in august. I got flattened at $50NL for 10 buy-ins in about 2000 hands which was pretty insane, and after that I felt like I needed to take a break. I think I burnt myself out in july a bit with all the hands I played (and the constant analysing of HHs, watching training vids... etc) and then suddenly getting knocked for $500 kinda winded me.

Casino Trip

Having only ever grinded properly online I finally got the chance to go out to a casino and play some proper live poker last night. Up until now ive obv played in home games and I did do an unofficial £5 live SNG at some stage too... but this was my first time in a proper casino. We arrived at around 7:30PM and once I'd signed up as a member we saw they had a poker tournament starting at 8:00. I was there with my friend and his mum, dad and uncle who all also play (i'm envious that he has a family into gambling!)

July 2010

Had an absolutely sick month Smile Big. Running real good at the $25NL and stepped up stakes early about a week ago... ran good there too! The field is still terrible and I'm learning a tonne as I'm going as well as turning a solid profit!

Getting serious

Hey all, I'm gonna try and keep this brief (unlike normal, lol)

So exams are finally over for me and I'm completely free for 2-3 months before I'm off to university. To this end ive decided to have a really serious go at cash games, starting at $25NL and working my way up. Ive already logged 25,000 hands at this stake level on ultimate bet and am up 10BIs, which when added to rakeback and bonuses leads to a pretty nice bottom line overall.

May 2010

Ive finished up my 10k hands for May now as well as maintaining my Contender status on UB. Here's my graph for the month:
