AM Back!!!

Hi all after a two week internet fiasco,you know they switch it off by mistake,takes two weeks to put back routine,i am back in the world of online...

have been playing a fair bit at the casino and last week,played the 50 rebuy and the 1 pound cash table....

funnily ,well i say funnily,the same hand got me in trouble on both tables,

picture the scene, there is 12 left,out of field of about 40,have a medium stack,and we on Big Blind with q9 , couple of limpers, three to flop....

flop comes Q 9 10

blinds at 400/800

i raise 2400 get reraised all in by seat three for 8000 ,i have about 7600 in chips and look at him for signs....did he limp in with pair or 10s? no i dont think so, i call he looks a bit dejected and turns over JJ saying i know i am behind....

i tunr my Q9 he looks a little worried , Turn comes an 8 river a 2 ouch i think great call,bad luck.....

i say nice hand and wander over to cash table.....

(he goes on to win that night)

so we hit the cash table,and first hand we get K9 suited daimonds,

so i call,flop come K K 5

good for me i think,seat next to me raises all fold to me,i call 7 pounds, i am thinking to myself he has a King,so the turn comes a 9 ,ok i think we definately in front,so i bet 15 and he calls,river is a 10 and i check,he bets 10 , i think to myself,what is that bet ,i put him on a King but know i am thinking K10 -10 pounds into 50 pot?
so i think a bit and decide against the reraise and call, Omg i was right K10 ouch.......so on we go few hands later i get KQ two other callers flop come K 9 4 first to act goes 7, i call seat three reraises to 20, seat one goes all in for about 65, i think what could they have? actually thought one had trips so i fold and seat three calls ,- they both turn over K9 ,phew i think......turn is 8 river is 3....

so a few hands later we get q4 Big Blind......usual limping,4 to flop....

Q 4 9 i have about 65 left,and we bet 5 into pot,now seat next to me,who was bullying a bit,reraised me to 20,so i have no choice but to push all in....and he calls-whats he got i say K J ,calling all in with no pair and one card straight draw?

anyway in a sick bit of luck the turn comes a K and the river is a K

dont you just hate that!!!!!

and that was all she wrote for that night........

am definately on course for big one.......can feel it in the air.......

ok so we back online and playing in the 5 OO the flagship tourney on sky,televised live on sky sports(best perfomance 5th so far)

find myself not getting any premium hands,but facing reraises and all ins- keep managing to fold the winning hands,for example i have K hearts J hearts, we get a raise and an all in and call,with JJ against AQ ....i think good fold,until flop is K spades 6 spades K clubs ....turn is 2 clubs river 5 spades,JJ takes it,but i mean is it good policy to put your tourney life on KJ hearts against two all ins?I dont think so.......anyway we struggle on and after a dwindling stack i find myself with 2 Big Blinds at levels of 400/800 now i have been just getting awful cards 10 3 ,6 3 ,5 7 , 4 8,7 9,10 4,10 8 ,and eventually we get to the stage where my BB is almost my stack,so on my BB i call a raise with 7 9 unsuited,he has 66 ...ok i think have a chance,flop is 6 spades J diamonds 10 hearts,turn is 2 spades,river is Q clubs and we out ....in 145 out of 490....

so we play a couple of Double Your Moneys(a favourite of mine due to time and structure,and that SKY was the first Poker site to offer this Tournement)

first one and bear in mind i have a record for this tournement in knocking all the other players out in 11 hands dealt,so needless to say they can be quite aggressive...Smile
ok we get A hearts 5 spades in the big blind with two callers i check flop is
5 hearts 4 diamonds A diamonds,i think need to add to the pot,and with two diamonds on board,have to move a little on any draws,so we bet just over half the pot,get two calls,think ok,turn is 7 spades,so we bet three quarters of pot 500 and still two callers,big pot brewing,river is 8 spades, i bet 750 leaving me pot committed,set 3 reraises all in,and i reluctantly call,he shows K6 diamonds for the straight-am a bit gutted he called on the turn as maybe i should have pushed but i did put him on flush draw......

so next one.....

well we play a few better hands AK AQ keeping getting outdraw on flop,and end up with 1320 in chips(start with 2000) and in Big Blind get 10 hearts 8 spades,get a limper in and flop comes 7 diamonds 6 diamonds A hearts i check he checks
turn is 9 diamonds i bet 200
he calls river is 6 spades,now i think to myself he hasnt got a flush so we push all in,ouch he has AA hit full house on river......

well next we play the velocity and as you can imagine i am steaming a little after being outdrawn twice,so we have a little gamble and im thinking is about time i had a bit of luck,we call an all in with Q6 clubs....flop comes 433 turn is 2
river is 5 .....lol......he turns AJ for the lower straight.......just shows you...

anyway we plod on well into the field,and after feelinf a little tired decide its SH-T or Bust time and call another all in with 910 he turns AK flop comes 2 J K turns is 8 river is 9 and thats all over...

i know but the velocity is so called because normally is so quick its unbelieveable and you need a big stack......

so all in all not a great day,but hey gotta take the downs with the ups....

ok so i have been having a bit of a downswing,and sadly it continued at the start of today(Monday)with a hideous A9 v 77 costing me 22 pounds on the bubble of a DYM,so we took 13 pounds to the cash tables,just for a change-dont normally play these but thought maybe a change might help.....wow did it!!! in about ten minutes we have hit a few nice cards and ,called super bluffer next to me twice and we were back up to 43 pounds.....

so we go back on the 10 DYM-(double your money) and it is like we have been kissed by an angel,all my hands hold up you know 33 v AQ sort of stuff,i think 44 hit a 4 on the flop three times...and and ace to boot,reraiseing them all in for a call-AK gutted at least twice.......so we march on,back upwards.....and in a bizarre twist ,while not looking properly at the screen i registered for a scary tournement which i promptly won....which was nice......so all in all a much better day....
lets hope we can take this into the week....

ok,so we had a whole day at the tables yesterday(tuesday 22)and what a day it was.....it was edge of the seat stuff,igot a few bad beats-dished out a few most notable were i had QQ he had j10 flop was ak5 three players all checked turn was a Q he went all in i called river was an A fo a full house......and i had JJ and he had 1010 with an A 10 5 rainbow flop i bet he called turn was a 6 i bet he called river was a J i went all in he called.......so there you go can dish em out for a change....also in a 750 bounty hunter i managed to get 200 chips in last place to 27000 in first place,before losing JJ three times to QQ AQ and KQ to bubble at 6th....lol.....mental note dont play JJ lol...but in all a profitable day....

today was an intense day of poker,played some real long DYMs and the level of skill involved was very high....is the same old faces and we all are starting to get to know each other s game..the notes facility on here is VERY useful.....
not really a lot more to say but i can really understand the phrase' grinding away'......lol

worst day ever

today without doubt,has been the worst day ever on SKY poker,
the bad beats have continued all day,and have ranged from the absolutely sick to just awful

AA v 22 river 2
QQ v K10 Twice one with a higher 4 card flush on the river the other hitting a king on the flop..-how can you call an all in with K10?.

AK v A10 on K103 flop all in,turn A river 10

endless A K v A rag..

k7 on flop 773 turn 9 river 10 against 6 8

endless over pairs. v rubbish

A10 v K10 flop AKQ all in, he called,turn 10 river K

in all out of ten games today ,i have had bad beats out, of 8 of them...

awful absolutely awful..

think i have actually had enough on here....

is just absolutely comical...

very unimpressed
