210 Tribute SNGs for 2010...

I know. I'm not hardcore enough to do 2010. My computer isn't fast enough to handle 12+ tables, so I couldn't do it if I tried... I'm not Nick Rainey, you know! Although I hopefully will be, if i keep working hard at my game.

A Bullshit Day...

Today was my first losing day of 2010. Lasted long! Big fucking losing day... 3 losing sessions, destroying my profits of the past 3 days, wtf. My ITM is 24% which is outrageous considering that the past 3 days has been at 38%.

Kinda feel like I've been breaking even since November, dunno when I'm gonna get outta this strut. It also feels like when I'm playing more fundamentally solid, as in doing things I should be doing like shoving wider bvb, idiots are calling me down with ridiculous hands and sucking out on me.

Bloodbath

I used to play Super Turbos on Full Tilt and I've never hit variance as sick as this. Nearly felted. Might have to redeposit.

PokerStars VIP Calculations

I'm always a bit skeptical when players are blabbing on about how they're gonna be going for Supernova Elite on Stars, because I get the feeling that a lot of them just don't really understand what an impossible task it is.

Of course, there will be different calculations in terms of playing cash, and playing MTTs would be just insane to achieve, but since I'm a SNG player I've calculated it in terms of Single Table Turbo SNGs.

Just for fun (I'm weird in this way), here's how many I'd have to play to get Supernova and Supernova Elite;

I already have about 1300 VPP so far...

Grindin' the O-Ten!

So I've been waking up in the mornings the past few weeks, since December actually and having sessions. I kinda like it, its probably because of my lack of morning light in the past few years of bad sleeping habits. Anyways, PokerStars is having a server reset or something, so I managed to play a set of Turbos before realizing that no new tables were registering. Ran pretty bad too, was looking forward to grinding out the next few tables! Sooo, I've decided to update my blog...

The Game [Theory] of Life

When I'm into something I'm really into it. And that for me, is how you realize that your passionate about something. Its when you go out of your way, of your own free will to do it, or learn more about it, and get better at it. There are a few things that I can say that I'm passionate about, but recently it is Poker, and from Poker, comes Game Theory.

A Spacegravy Tribute

Spacegravy is probably the best single table SNG grinder ever. He has said that he had once made $40,000 from grinding 1400 $16 Turbo SNGs on Stars for 6 months... without one losing day.

One day if I can ever even touch that level of greatness, I know that its because of players like him that inspire me. The past week I experienced one week of winning every day, and what's even nicer about it is that I am multi-tabling a minimum of 12 tables each session, and also playing a lot of games in one day.

Moving On Up

Today I got my money from Full Tilt. Its been a long time coming, and my patience has paid off. But I feel like its been a learning experience for sure, and playing the $3s have been good practice for me. I bumped up my roll an extra 10 buy ins and started work on the $6s.

Milestone

I've never made any leaderboards on sharkscope before, but now I have a nice white star next to my name. I know its only $3s, but for me this is a big milestone and I've come a long way in the past year...

Moving Up, Lucking Down

I'm not doing so well in the $6s lately. Granted, I'm kinda experienced in this, so I know that after a while things will turn my way. The main problem is that my winnings are too small, and my losses to large.
