moving on up

just reached my target start playing 5nl. ground out a 1600 hand session for the last 2 and a half buy ins Smile ran meh made it in the end. hopefully the volume from my sessions will start to show in a few more vpps once i make 10nl. Now i start on 5nl keeping 12 tables on the go coz the play is almost identical, still my 50bb buy in Smile. seemed to take ages but i got a new girlfriend and coursework is starting to hit hard now so volume has suffered. When i play i average 800 hands a sesh so its not hand while playing its just playing at all more to life than poker eh.

< cash grinder

Played the most cash hands in a weekend by far last 2 days. girlfriend was in london so i had the weekend free and i thought i would make the most of it. saturday played about 4.5k hands, 3.5k of which were 9 handed nl, lost about 8 buy ins. After this i thought it was time to change my strategy to playing 8 tables instead of 12 and 6 handed. I have 2 screens at the mo so i can easily tile the 8 and see them all all the time. This has helped alot as reads are so much more important in cash than sngs.

the mysteries of nanao stakes.

Its funny how one pot can define whether you have a good or bad session. In this case the pot happened to go against me and needless to say i wasnt hugely impressed. It went on as follows, please tell me if you would have played this any differently.

Blinds .02/.05 nl

I was dealt KK in the cutoff, UTG +1 raises to 20, mid calls, i reraise to 72 cents. UTG +1 folds mid calls.

Flop 736 rainbow. This person has tried to represent an ace to me before on a board of A77A, so i go right ahead and ship 2.20 into the 1.70 or so pot. (this has him covered)

redline!

In an effort to sort out my redline i am going to cut back to 4 tables for a while to improve my post flop game. As you can imagine moving from turbo SnGs to cash many adjustments need to be made the chief of these is playing turns and especially rivers. For those of u who dont have pokertracker your redline is the line at which you win or in my case lose when not seeing a flop. For almost everyone thier redline goes level or slightly down unless they play 1 table or something.
