have tried in the past and failed to make blog but hopefully this one shall stay updated even if its just for the near future.

about me:

my name is scott mcgrory and i am originally from Hamilton in Scotland but i am currently travelling about the world using poker to fund the trip. i expect to be away from home for the next 2 years though hopefully more. i am good at most forms of poker having made around $70k from MTTs, SNGs, cash and the steps on the sites across the board.

coming to end of month. shall i grind or wait till february?

my net seems to be working a bit better now but having got wasted and celebrated Burns day yesterday (scottish tradition involving lots of alcohol and food) and today is Australia day which is basically the same idea but Australian it is unlikely i will play tomorrow which will leave me 3 days left of January to get some games in.

so i have played a total of 4 games today as my net was shit when the first game started so i unregistered from most of my games. this is doing my head in at the moment as it is killing my potential profit. i usually play up to 16 games at a time but at the moment i am not confident enough in my net to have anywhere near that amount of games on at the moment. whether its the vodafone modem stick that fails to work or the unreliable wifi the sooner i can find a place to stay with good wifi the better.

having been undecided on whether to grind the last couple of days of the month i realised i was ~7000 FPPs short of buying the $650 bonus from the VIP store at the reduced january sale price of 40,000 FPPs (usual price 50,000FPPs). this would take over 180 games at the $22 level or over 120 at the $33 level. i decided just to go for it as it would be good prep for next month and the bonus works out decent value as well.

having grinded the last 2 days to get enough FPPs to buy the $650 bonus i made over $1500 in 2 days playing the 9 man SNGS. i am running well but i feel my game is better than ever as well.

i also managed to get over $4000 profit in 9 mans in the month of January which will let me collect a nice $50 from Britcliffe Smile

now all i need to do is find an apartment with good net and next month should be enjoyable and more profitable
